Vester Thorup & Klim Bjerg - Jammerbugt

The hiking area in the westernmost part of Jammerbugten is a unique place that offers unique hiking adventures. Here you will experience a number of fascinating natural experiences and cultural attractions.

You will have the opportunity to walk along the Stone Age coastal cliff, where you will find winding paths and enjoy beautiful views of the countryside and the sea.

The hiking area also offers a trip around a "mountain" where you will be able to enjoy thought-provoking views. In the area, you can also experience the beautiful dunes and the characteristic parabolic dunes.

A highlight in the area is the visit to one of Denmark's two preserved lime kilns. Here you will be able to explore an interesting exhibition that tells about how people have worked in the lime quarry and kiln over the decades.

A visit to Thorupstrand by the busy fishing boats is also a must. Maybe you can say hello to the local guys?

In the hiking area, there are four trails to explore, which stretch over a total distance of up to 14.1 km. For those of you with really good fitness, there are also two bonus trails that add up to 7.6 km.
