Borbjerg, Ryde & Feldborg
You walk through Borbjerg’s forest‑and‑lakes nature with reed beds, tree cover, and open water. The area offers peaceful moments, reflections in the water, and birdlife along the shore, with benches for relaxing and taking in the view.
In Feldborg Nørreskov you move through dense spruce and birch, in forest glades under spreading crowns; the forest floor cracks beneath your boots. Birdlife is rich, and if you’re quiet, you might glimpse deer among the trees.
Ryde Plantation shows the forest’s transition from production to a more natural landscape, with bogs, meadows, and older conifers. Small clearings of heather, crowberry, and bilberry alternate with old peat diggings that now form little ponds.
In one woodland area, the troll VildEmil hides in his large nest of fir branches. Created by artist Thomas Dambo, he measures 2 × 7 meters—and despite his size, he’s cleverly tucked away among the trees.
In the rural area, you can explore six trails that stretch a total of up to 15.9 km, as well as a bonus trail of 4.4 km for those with really good fitness.
Please note that accommodation, transport (own car) and meals are not included in the price.
