Klosterheden Plantage - the southern part

Walk through lush ravines and along quiet lakes framed by wooded hills. Look for beaver dams and gnawed trees—especially at dawn. The trail offers open views across the water and surrounding slopes throughout the route.

Follow paths through a restored wetland landscape with open moors, lakes, and marshes. The wide views and quiet nature make for a peaceful hike. A shelter with a firepit and seating invites you to take a break outdoors.

Hike through dense forest and past a small lake reflecting the trees. Along winding paths, you’ll find bird feeding spots and traces of wildlife. The area is calm and offers insight into life beneath the trees.

The area also offers cultural and nature highlights: a former hospital bunker in the forest, a birdwatching tower overlooking wetlands, and a scenic millpond—perfect for peaceful moments and panoramic views.

In the hiking area, you can explore four trails that extend a total of up to 16.7 km, as well as a 4,8 km bonus trail for those with really good fitness.
