Lodbjerg - Thy National Park
The area in the southernmost part of Thy National Park gives you a real experience of what the west coast of Thy has to offer. You can explore hiking trails that take you through the dunes and along the steep coastal escarpment.
Starting from Lodbjerg Lighthouse, you hike through the wild coastal landscape in Thy National Park. Here you have the opportunity to climb a "mountain", ride down a coastal cliff, walk on a "sande" and visit the characteristic coastal cliff formation known as the "Black Nose".
The area also gives you the opportunity to explore the dune plantation, where more natural considerations have been taken than in other dune plantations in Thy. Along the way you can enjoy several fantastic views.
In addition to visiting Lodbjerg Lighthouse, you can also experience the Nordic region's largest village church here and learn more about the legend of Liden Kirsten and Prince Buris, an unhappy love story.
The area's three hiking trails together stretch up to 16.7 km, and there is also a bonus trail of 4.8 km for those with good legs. These trails give you the opportunity to experience the area's natural beauty and coastal scenery up close.
