Stubbergård Sø
NOTE: LONG PATH
The area around the lake offers a peaceful and varied landscape of open meadows, small forest patches, and wide stretches of water. Here you can experience the tranquility of nature and a rich birdlife, with ducks, geese, and birds of prey often seen over the lake.
Along the shoreline, the paths alternate between grass and gravel, and the view changes with the terrain. You’ll pass both dense vegetation and open spaces where the lake mirrors the sky. In spring, the meadows are colored by wildflowers and new life.
The area holds historical landmarks that reveal traces of human presence through the centuries. The ruins of the old monastery and the nearby holy spring tell stories of faith, culture, and the landscape’s importance to the local community.
The combination of nature, history, and scenic views makes this a place for peace and reflection. Here, cultural heritage and landscape come together to create an area inviting both exploration and quiet contemplation.
In the rural area, you can explore a long trail that stretches for 15 km, as well as a bonus trail of 5.2 km for those with very good fitness.
