Venø & Thyholm - West Jutland (Struer)

The hiking trails on Venø and Thyholm offer a wide range of nature experiences, ranging from nice beaches and hills to small forests and picturesque country roads.

On Venø you walk on the beaches and you can enjoy views over Oddesund and Nørskov Vig from vantage points and experience Denmark's smallest church.

At Oddesund, the paths lead you through a landscape full of fascinating nature, cultural history and landscape formations, including a meadow by the fjord with cattle and small forest areas with summer houses.

On Thyholm, the routes go through hilly terrain with scrub, forest and streams, and along the fjord with beautiful views and a rich bird life.

Along the way, you can find information boards that describe local geology, nature and cultural history, as well as come across Venø's many pheasants and other animal species.

In the hiking area, you can explore 3 trails that stretch a total of up to 14.8 km, as well as a bonus trail of 5 km for those with really good fitness.
