Shelters at Salling & Fur
At Salling and Fur you are offered scenic accommodation in close connection with the beautiful landscapes of the Limfjord.
The shelters here are often located by the coast, in forests or in open fields, which gives you a unique opportunity to enjoy the silence and nature to the fullest.
Some shelters can be reserved in advance, while others are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In some cases, a small payment is required to use the shelter.
Fur
Fur Camping shelters
The shelter site is separated from the rest of the campsite, situated in a small area sheltered from the west wind – shaded from the morning sun – and with a full view of the Limfjord to the north.
Here you will find 2 shelters, each accommodating 4 people.
There are table/bench sets by the shelters. A water post, a fire hut with a fire pit and grill, and additional table/bench sets are located about 50 meters from the shelters. The campsite's toilets and other facilities are freely available.
The shelters must be booked. This can be done in advance or upon arrival at the reception. A fee is charged per person for overnight stays.

North Fur shelters
The sheltersite is a forest site by Rødstenen on Fur.
Here you will find 2 shelters with room for 8 people in each.
There is a fire pit with grate, table/bench set and water supply. There is access to a public toilet at the end of Rødstenvej (approx. 500 m.)
Shelter no. 1 must be booked. It is the one to the left of the entrance.
The second shelter can be used on a "first come, first served" basis, alternatively you can sleep in a tent, but be hospitable, move together and make room.
Fur
Fur Friskole shelter
The shelter site is located at Fur Friskole in the corner of an open green area.
The shelter is built into the fire hut and accommodates 4 people.
In the fire hut, there is a fire pit with a grill and several table/bench sets. Water and a toilet are available in the schoolyard, approximately 100 meters from the shelter.
The shelter cannot be booked - it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fur
Engelst
The shelter site is located at the edge of the forest by the Limfjord, where from the shelter there is a magnificent view out over the fjord. It is located between the trees, at a height of 4-5 meters in relation to the beach, and it is thereby protected from the weather and wind.
There is a shelter with room for 4-6 people.
There is a fire pit on the site. There is water and a toilet close to the shelter. However, it is closed in winter, when it is also not possible to draw water.
You must be aware that the grass area west of the shelter by the toilet building is used by associations, schools etc.
The shelter cannot be booked - here the first-come, first-served principle applies. (During the entire month of July, the area is reserved for a music camp on site).

Tril-Om
The shelter site is in a cozy backyard with a view of the fjord! Here you are welcome to spend the night here for a night or two and enjoy the blooming vegetable garden and the munching cows in the fields around the farm.
The shelter is home-built and has room for approx. 5 people staying overnight.
Firewood and a fire pit are freely available. If you want to borrow water, a toilet or something else, please go down to the farm and say hello.
The shelter cannot be booked - first come, first serve applies.

Havbjerg Skov shelters
The shelter area is located in a small clearing in Havbjerg Forest.
There are 3 shelters, each accommodating about 8 people.
There are 2 fire pits with grills and several table/bench sets. A composting toilet is available at the site (remember to bring your own toilet paper). Near the parking lot, about 50 meters from the shelters, there is also a small fire hut.

The gray freight car shelters
At the old warehouse by Sundsøre Marina, there are two freight cars.
The gray freight car, built in 1908, has been fully restored and fitted with 12 sleeping places. Additionally, there are 4-5 spots on the floor in the old waiting room inside the warehouse.
There is a table/bench set by the warehouse. Water can be collected from the outdoor tap at the marina's clubhouse. Campfires are not allowed.
The marina's facilities for toilets and showers can be used (showers for a fee payable to the marina).
The freight car cannot be reserved—it's on a first-come, first-served basis. A small fee is required for overnight stays.

Mogenstrup Beach shelter
The shelter is located in a small clearing at the edge of the forest, close to the fjord, with a fantastic view over the fields.
There is 1 shelter with space for 4 people.
The site includes a campfire area and benches. Additionally, there is another campfire area and a table/bench set at a small site about 30 meters from the shelter. There are no toilets or water facilities.
The shelter cannot be booked; it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lyby Community Hall shelter
The shelter is located on the edge of an open area near Lyby Community Center.
The shelter is built into a campfire hut and accommodates 4-6 people.
Inside the hut, there is a campfire area with a grill and a table/bench set. There are no toilet or water facilities.
The shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be booked in advance.

Kybehuse shelter
The shelter is secluded among the trees in a natural hollow within the coastal slope, well shielded from the wind.
There is one shelter with space for 4-6 people.
The shelter area includes a fire pit and picnic tables with benches. There is no water source or toilet at the shelter. The nearest toilet is located at the parking lot by Hotel Pinenhus, about 1 km from the site.
The shelter cannot be reserved and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Salling Nature trail shelter
The shelter is located in a small, secluded thicket near the Salling Nature trail and borders a private forest.
The shelter has room for 4-6 people.
There is no possibility to light a fire and there is neither water nor toilet available.
The shelter cannot be reserved in advance, so the first-come, first-served principle applies.

Glyngøre FDF Nature Camp shelters
The shelters are located in a small open area surrounded by trees.
The site has 2 shelters, each accommodating 4-6 people.
There is a picnic table with benches and a fire pit on the site. Additionally, there is a composting toilet and a water source behind the house, about 30 meters from the shelters.
The shelters cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nautrup sports field shelters
The shelters are located in a cozy corner on the edge of the sports field. There are two shelters, each with space for 4 people.
The area contains a large playground, a cable car, a campfire cabin, a combined kitchen and picnic hut with table/bench sets. There is also a toilet building with water on the site.
The shelter cannot be booked - here it is first come, first served.

Åsted shelters
The privately owned shelter site is scenically located by Hinnerup Å on the outskirts of Åsted.
There are 2 shelters with room for 2-3 people each.
On the site there is a table/bench set and fire pit, as well as firewood for free use. There is a composting toilet and water.
You do not need to book in, but please let the private owners of the space know if you wish to use the space.

Roslev Søpark shelters
The shelters are beautifully situated in Roslev Søpark with a view of the lake.
In Roslev Søpark there are two shelters with room for 4 people in each.
In addition, Søparken contains a picnic hut with toilet, nature playground, disabled-friendly lighted paths and table/bench sets. There is an attached fire pit, which can be used if you bring your own firewood.
Accommodation in the shelters is on a first-come, first-served basis and costs a small amount per person. person, which is paid on Mobilepay on arrival.
