Shelters in West Jutland (Struer)
In West Jutland (Struer) you have the choice between different types of accommodation.
You can either choose to stay centrally in Struer in a hotel room, enjoy a relaxing atmosphere at a seaside hotel near Jegindø, or choose to spend your nights with friendly hosts at a cozy campsite close to the Limfjord.
There is a wide range of options to choose from, so whatever your preferences, you can find the perfect accommodation for your stay.

Lyngs Gamle Mølle shelter
The shelter site is located next to the old mill in Lyngs. The mill can be easily found as it rises above the rooftops of the town.
In the mill, there is a nice toilet with a shower for free use (bath, however, for a fee), as well as access to water and a sink. At the shelter there is also a table/bench set, as well as a fire pit. You must bring your own firewood.
The shelter can be booked. If it is not booked, the "first-come, first-served" principle applies. A small amount is paid to use the shelter.

Plethøj Plantation shelter
The shelter site is sheltered by a grass field on the edge of Plethøj Plantage.
On the site there is a shelter with room for 8-10 people. There is also a fire and grill area, several table-bench sets and a toilet. There is no water supply on the site.
This shelter cannot be booked and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

FDF Sailing Center Limfjord shelters
The shelter site is located at Jeginø Harbor 10m from the beach.
There are 5 shelters on the site with space for 5-6 people in each. There is an octagonal covered fire pit (approx. 65 m2), as well as several table and bench sets. In addition, there is drinking water, a toilet and the possibility of bathing at the harbor. Nearby there is also a lookout tower over the Limfjord.
The shelters can be booked for a minimum of 4 people. If they are not booked, they go according to the "first-come, first-served" principle. A small amount is paid for the overnight stay.
FDF and other camps have priority for the shelters etc. Motorized vehicles are not permitted and alcohol is prohibited in the area.

The excavation shelters
The square is a lovely, large square enclosed by large trees and large slopes by an open space with grass.
There is a large shelter with room for 8-10 people. There is a covered table/bench set, where there is also a barbecue area. You must bring your own firewood. In addition, there is a toilet building with water.
FDF groups have priority for the shelter. This shelter cannot otherwise be booked and is on a first-come, first-served basis. A small amount is paid for the overnight stay.
Venø and Thyholm
Mississippi City Station shelters
The shelter is in connection with the Mississippi Art and Culture Center in Uglev.
There is a large shelter with 4 rooms with 4 sleeping places each. There is access to water, shower and toilet, gas grill, and a covered dining and sitting area. You can buy extra use of a washing machine, access to creative workshops and access to an art exhibition.
The shelter must be booked and costs a small amount to use.

Aa-mølle shelter
The shelter is beautifully located at the eastern end of the mill lake and falls naturally into the landscape.
There is space for approx. 8 people in the shelter. At the shelter, there are tables and benches, a fire pit with a grate (firewood can be bought) and a waste rack. There is a toilet in the car park. The water at the toilets is not suitable for drinking, so it is recommended to bring your own water.
This shelter can be booked . If it is not booked, it is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Resenborg Plantation shelter
The shelter plate is located in a cleared area in the forest on a steep ridge.
On the site there is a shelter with room for 5 people. There is also a fire pit, grill grate and table and bench set by the fjord close by.
This shelter cannot be booked and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hornet shelters
The shelter site is well protected in a small clearing in the middle of the plantation between the trees.
There are three shelters on the site, each with space for 5 people. There is a fire pit with grill grate, several table-bench sets, toilet and water tap. There is also a nature playground right next to it.
The two shelters must be booked ( shelter 1 , shelter 2 ). The last shelter cannot be booked and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
